The launch of this collection fuses passion for jewellery and furniture design, creating an innovative project, where the complementary furniture becomes main role with elegance, style and sophistication.

GALAN M is considered as masculine version, composed of one walnut wood hat hanger, one metallic graphite detail and one hanger fixed in middle height of main structure for hanging a suit coat. Spacio feels extremely proud to have Galan valet in the house.

The marble foot of this masculine furniture is exuberating class of different level altogether.

Without an iota of doubt this couple forms a very sophisticated pair which can easily give run for money.

The Designer Andres Martinez says “I was thinking of accompany rather than a furniture item and it turned out that there was no better option than using human’s form. Obviously Valet stand M has the same sketch shape of one man meanwhile Valet stand W looks more like an elegant and sophisticated lady.”

Tips to Modernize Dated Furniture, Décor and Accessories

Be it fashion, furniture or accessories we love to follow trends. We do love our classics but things that are passé doesn’t suit the current trends of interiors and décor. We need to ask ourselves one question- Why do some homes look dated and tired while others always look fresh and current? Given below are some of comparisons sorted for your clear understanding of dated and contemporary styling of interiors.

Damask is a pattern which garnered popularity in the 90’s which can be updated by a large statement bloom instead in today’s interiors.

A large bloom looks quite classy and chic instead of continuous damask pattern which after a point becomes monotonous.

Fast furniture is the easy-to-assemble (and even easier to afford) designs which really blew up in the mid-1980s and have been going strong since. The modern version of fast furniture is simple and bold colour functional pieces like these ones.

Tuscan furniture was quite popular during the 2000 which got replaced by the Italian furniture which has a special place in everybody’s home these days.

An interior in Italian furniture looks chic and comfortable for modern living. The appeal is quite invigorating.

In the 80’s the pastel story was all about dusty blue or dusty pink colour which did not give a clean look. Today’s pastel story is about muted tones of pink and blue and everything light in shade which gives a very classy touch to any interiors.

The industrial styling of furniture was all about using bare lights hanging from the walls but these days the lighting effect has changed a most composed and sophisticated form of lighting effect has taken its place.

The MD and Creative Head of Spacio Mr.Navin Kanodia says “The interiors today is also about timeless pieces which has been in the history but has modified and nurtured itself to fit into the trend of time. We want our readers to seek out designs, styles and colors that are considered to be “dated,” and have been given a touch a modernity through revamping.”

Furniture Style Files

Everyone has a unique taste and certain palate in furniture by which they decorate their homes. One will feel it hard to find one’s own taste if they don’t know what it’s called. The word furniture comes from the French word fourniture, which means equipment. Here we will tour through some of the most famous styles of furniture used in the world of interiors.

Traditional furniture is called formal furniture from the Victorian period. It combines features from the Queen Anne period – graceful and elaborately decorated, Chippendale style – artistic embellishment and straightened out lines and Sheraton style – delicate pieces with tapered legs and contrasting inlays. Together this creates a comfortable and warm environment with hand crafted, dark timber pieces, over stuffed, plush sofas and elegant fabrics.

The enduring popularity of the Mid-Century Modern style is based on many factors. It gave us clean lines, gentle organic curves, a love for different materials and designers that are idolized even today. While there is some disagreement about when the period started, it roughly lasted from the mid-1930s to mid-1960s

Moving away from the ornate carvings of the Baroque and Rococo periods that preceded it, Neo classical furniture or contemporary classic furniture offers a more streamlined style. While fluted details can still be found on things like chairs and sofas, design elements centre on simpler features such as tapered legs, scrolls and medallions.

Fabrics and upholstery are rich but subtle, with colors like moss green, dusty blue and pink, and crisp, classic white.

Transitional Style (also known as “updated classic for men”, “classic with a contemporary twist”, “new takes on old classics”) in interior design and furniture design refers to a contemporary blend of traditional and modern styles, midway between old world traditional and the world of chrome and glass contemporary; incorporating lines that are less ornate than traditional designs, but not as severely basic as contemporary lines. As a result, transitional furniture designs are classic, timeless, and clean.

Contemporary style is easily recognizable for its simple and sleek lines. It is very distinguishable from a more traditional style in that there is hardly any intricate detail or carving. The lines of contemporary style furniture are either hard edged or gently curved.

Eclectic style encompasses a variety of periods and styles and is brought together through the use of color, texture, shape and finish. Here’s how it breaks down: Colors: The palette can vary, but it’s best to stick with a few neutrals to help tie all the elements together.

The MD of Spacio Mr. Navin Kanodia says “Furniture has been a staple of wealth and luxury for centuries. Over the period the industry has been graced with all forms and shapes of furniture and Spacio creates such bespoke masterpieces as per client’s requirement taking into consideration the above genres.
